We’ve all been extremely busy recently out with The Colour Ham. Kev launched the Edinburgh Magic Festival, won Edinburgh Magic Circle Magic Competition and was the first magician ever to perform at the Globe Theatre in London. Both Colin and Gav have been speaking and performing all over the country. This includes them both doing their first ever TED talks!

So with three months to go we still have a lot of work to do. We’re rehearsing twice a week at the moment and making the most of the little time we have together.

We cannot wait to show you all what we’ve been working on. It’s definitely been the difficult second album but we feel this years show will top last years.

Our tickets sales have been unbelievable already and it gives us a huge lift to think people have already made us a priority on their fringe hit list.

After many personal commitments, individual shows, wives, children, and Colin’s cats, we’re back and have been touring the country spread the Ham.

Having had to opportunity to headline The Stand in Edinburgh a few weeks ago, as our first time on stage together in 6 months! , last night we headed on a road trip to perform at The Trickery in Aberdeen to a sell-out crowd. 50 minutes of kissing, hypnotising, human instruments, nudity and Gaelic later the audience left efficiently Hammed. We had an absolute ball.

It’s bizarre at the moment performing and almost saying ‘bye’ to our ‘older’ material (or at least, putting into storage until the TV show) and also having to rely now more on our new material. It’s taking us right out of our comfort zone but it’s exciting. It’s not as scary as when we first started out because in the beginning – we’re much more comfortable on stage together.

Now though, we have a better understanding of our characters and how they interact, which is half the battle, so it does make getting to grips with the new material much easier and more enjoyable.

So… What’s in store? The new material already plans to have MUCH more mind blowing Magic and Mentalism, lots more craziness and ultimately, we already feel, become an even stronger show than our first one. With the Edinburgh Festival only 4 months away (and before that we have The Edinburgh Magic Festival and Svetlana and Kev are expecting their first child!!) we’re going to be busy. But the fact we have the show (just about) written, we now just need to perfect it. And we will.
